Title I Overview
Title I is a federally funded program that provides additional reading support and learning opportunities for struggling readers. The program is intended to help ensure all students meet the Pennsylvania Academic Standards in English and Language Arts. Schools receive Title I funding based on the percentage of students who receive free and reduced price meals.
Title I Goals and Objectives
- success in the general classroom setting
- increase in academic achievement
- attainment of grade level proficiency
- achievement of basic, as well as more advanced grade level skills
- provide parents with updates of student achievement and parent education
