Miss Simpson- 5th Grade Teacher
About Me
Welcome! My name is Victoria Simpson and I am a 5th grade teacher at Harrison Park. This is my third year as a classroom teacher. I will be teaching 5th grade reading and social studies. I am so excited to be working with your child this year!
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Duquesne University. I am a certified educator in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.
My philosophy for the education of young children comes from the idea of teaching the "whole child". I believe that an early childhood educator's duties are not only teaching students foundational reading and mathematic skills, but shaping the child's social and emotional skills as well. Being an educator comes with great responsibility, and I want my students to be the best well-rounded person they can be.
I love being with friends and family, watching the Penguins, and eating tacos. I have a crazy new puppy, Theo! I am a proud Penn-Trafford graduate and Harrison Park Alumni.
I am looking forward to an awesome 2024-2025 school year!
