Welcome to Fifth Grade!

My name is Beth Leydig and I will be teaching Social Sciences/ELA for fifth grade this year. I have been teaching since 2000; and have taught 3rd grade since 2004. I am beginning my 5th grade era this year! I love to spend time with my family and have a slight obsession with owls and gnomes. I look forward to working with you to make it a successful year for your child.

Most of the websites we use in class, the kids can sign in with Google or Clever. Please be sure your Parent Square information is correct. We will use this to send important information throughout the school year. I will also send emails throughout the year, so please be sure your email address is updated in PowerSchool.

This year we will continue to utilize Google Classroom in our classes and during virtual snow days. Each teacher will have their own Google Classroom page. We will get the kids set up with our pages. You will find my Grade Google Classroom link below. I will be using this platform to post materials students may need for my class during the day or during virtual snow days.
