Penn-Trafford School District Among Pennsylvania’s Best

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) recently released the 2025 state assessment results for the PSSA and Keystone Exams. The data shows that the Penn-Trafford School District performed strongly in comparison to other school districts across Pennsylvania.

SchoolDigger.com, an independent website that ranks schools based on test scores provided by PDE, is one resource families may use to review school performance. In the most recent rankings released in November, SchoolDigger placed Penn-Trafford first in Westmoreland County and 18th statewide out of 606 districts, positioning the district within the top 3 percent in Pennsylvania.

According to the rankings, Penn-Trafford High School placed in the top 1% of high schools statewide. Four of the district’s elementary schools ranked within the top 6%, and both middle schools ranked within the top 8%. All Penn-Trafford schools were ranked within the top 14% of their respective categories.
