Ducks Hatch at Harrison Park

In May, students in the first-grade classrooms at Harrison Park Elementary School experienced the hatching of eleven ducklings.

Prior to the eggs’ arrival, the students studied the duck life cycle as part of their science curriculum. Observing the incubation and hatching process was a great way to reinforce what they’d learned.

Once the ducklings hatched, the students spent a few days caring for and observing them in their classrooms. The experience concluded when the ducklings were taken to a farm owned by a Harrison Park family.
