After-School Lego Club Inspires

The after-school “Lego Club” at Harrison Park Elementary School drew over 85 students to its January meeting.  The club, spearheaded by Student Learning Assistant Mr. Noah Brundrett, is open to all students in grades K-5.  Members of the high school’s Community Action Program were present to assist Mr. Brundrett with the popular activity.

January’s challenge was called “Sliding into the new year.”  Students created Lego sleds and then tested their speed and stability by launching them down a makeshift ramp.  “We saw big sleds, small sleds, and some used parts of a spaceship,” commented Mr. Brundrett.
