3rd-Graders Experiment With ‘Moving Cars’

At Harrison Park Elementary School, Mrs. Leydig’s third-graders experimented with toy cars, a ramp, and a variety of materials including sandpaper, cloth, wax paper, foil, and bubble wrap.  Students took turns launching the cars into each material to see how effectively they slowed the cars’ speed.  They measured the distance their cars traveled each time.
