Harrison Park Recognizes Veterans

On Friday, November 8, Harrison Park Elementary School in the Penn-Trafford School District hosted its annual Veterans Day breakfast and recognition ceremony. Students, staff, and military or veteran family members enjoyed a buffet breakfast. After the meal, everyone gathered outside to join the high school choir and marching band for the national anthem. Veterans were celebrated and acknowledged for their service, with four fifth-grade students—Violet Black, Capriana Caruso, Tristan Casper, and Gabby Foster—giving heartfelt speeches honoring their veteran family members.

To conclude the ceremony, each veteran received a certificate from State Representative-Elect Brian Rasel and a pin from Pack 230, symbolizing appreciation for their service to the country. A total of 22 veterans attended, representing all branches of the military, including a World War II veteran, the oldest honored guest. The event was a fitting tribute on a beautiful day, honoring the sacrifices and dedication of those who served.
