During May at Harrison Park Elementary School, the students in grades 3-5 participated in earning PSSA incentives for their work in preparing for and taking the test. Students entered their names into a drawing to win baskets for activities. One of those reward activities was an afternoon of ‘Cookies and Canvas’ with art teacher Mrs. Christoforetti. Students were able to pick between painting an axolotl salamander or a fish. After painting, students enjoyed a cookie as their painting dried.
“The Cookies and Canvas PSSA Reward is always a popular and creative outlet for students to celebrate their hard work after the PSSAs,” commented Mrs. Christoforetti. “Each year they look forward to a new theme and having fun in a supportive environment.”
