Author Visits Harrison Park

Local author Scott Watkins visited Harrison Park Elementary School to read his children's books, On Your Horse, Mr. Revere! and Independence? Consider it Declared! to several classrooms.

Watkins spoke to the students about the importance of reading and stressed the value of reading about things that interest them. ”It was very inspirational to all of the kids,” commented Watkins’ sister, Mrs. Molly Lisbon, who is a Student Learning Assistant at the school.  “Many of them approached me throughout the week to say they went home and asked their parents to order the books from his website.”
