The crowdfunding resource ‘DonorsChoose’ has enabled many teachers in the Penn-Trafford School District to raise money for classroom improvements and teaching materials. Harrison Park Elementary School tutor, Colette Mitchell, was able to teach a sequencing lesson with her new materials. After reading the book "Molly Lou Melon," her second-grade students put a series of events in the correct order.
“The new classroom materials benefit student learning in many ways,” commented Mitchell. “Not only will I have more ways to utilize graphics and visuals, but I can also provide a more interactive learning experience for my students.”
