Silly String Battle Incents Students to Read

The students of Harrison Park Elementary School celebrated reaching their 4th-quarter reading goals with a Silly String Battle during the last week of school in May.  Each student in grades 1 through 5 who reached the goal earned a can of silly string to take onto the ‘battleground’.  This event was organized and sponsored by the school's staff and PTO.

“Mrs. Hayes, our Library Aide, does a great job taking the lead with organizing the event as well as inspiring the students to read,” commented Principal Jeff Swartz.  “The students look forward to having fun with the staff and celebrating their reading accomplishments during this exciting event.”
