During an October Social Studies lesson, Miss Castaldo’s third-grade class at Harrison Park Elementary School discussed community helpers. They decided that the most important community helper in their school was their classroom custodian, Miss Ickes, who keeps their building clean and safe. “As a thank you, and to honor National Custodian day (October 2nd), we decided to write thank you letters to Miss Ickes for everything she does for us!” said Castaldo.
